20 means I'm actually growing up...*shudder*
Yesterday was the most epically busy day of my life.
I had to be to work at 8:00, so that meant waking up early to get ready. Gotta look presentable on your birthday. It's a must.
I worked on an EOB from 8:00 until 12:30. Then I had to leave to go to cadaver lab *shudder*
I swear, the happiest day of my life will be when I don't have to go to anymore cadaver labs.
We are studying blood vessels, so we were poking and prodding veins and arteries. My lab instructor compared arteries to al dente macaroni noodles. Forever ruined my appetite for macaroni.
We also had to draw the veins and arteries on a life sized chalk outline. My group finished super fast. We don't care if we don't win the doughnut prize for the best one.
By 3:30 I was heading back to work. I worked on that same stinking EOB until 6:30 when I had to get going to Microbiology lab.
I'm afraid I was a little bit scatterbrained through the whole lab. All I wanted to do was go home. My lab partner was very nice and put up with my absent-mindedness. Sorry Kylie!
Finally, at 8:13 I walked through the doors of my apartment. Sarah had cleaned the living room. Best birthday present EVER! However, all traces of my roommates were gone! I felt so so alone at that moment.
Sarah and Janalee eventually reappeared and we finished out the night by watching CSI, a late Taco Bell run my request, and eating cobbler that Derek so kindly made for me.
This new work schedule just might be the death of me. Good thing it's worth it.
Also, I didn't take any pictures of the celebration because, honestly, there was no celebration. However, I do have this picture from awhile ago for you to enjoy...
I went to the Utah State hockey game with some friends and this was the entertainment during one of the breaks. Little kids playing hockey= awesome!
Pinky wasn't very happy to be there though.
Sorry for the totally random picture.
